Hi Guys, just a quick question. I've been given an adult and junior for the boxing day game for the lower Gladwys.

My lad is 4 and a half.
1) Anyone took young kids into the lower Gladwys lately? is it appropriate for him? Sadly couldn't get anywhere near the family enclosure (that said I've been in there and heard some terrible things and seen some pretty bad behaviour too :)!)
2) if you sit in the lower gladwys do you get annoyed having young kids around where you sit?

just trying to decide if I should take him or not really. Don't want him to hate it an don't want to annoy others watching the game. Just after a bit of feedback really.

Cheers!

Take them to the Upper Bullens. The view from LGS is abysmal for adults, let alone for kids.

FWIW I took my 5 and 4 year old girls to the England v Germany womens match at Wembley. They were ok for the 1st half but were very bored by 60 mins.

I would personally wait a year or two.

I'd go upper bullens mate if possible mate. The most aggressive thing I've seen recently at Goodison was in the Park End anyway, a couple of weeks ago at the Lille game at HT there was a kick off over two fellas smoking in the toilets. One man seemingly taking objection and threatening to tell the steward to which he receiveved the usual "grass" and "snitch" shouts resulting in a bit of a scuffle. Some intense people at Goodison.

I haven't done this since it was terracing so you may not be able to do it now, but you could take them in at three quarter time. Save a few quid and their attention span will last til the end!

I took my daughter in the LG aged 6. She is now fluent in "We don't care what the redshite say" and thinks that all referee are a [Poor language removed] disgrace and [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed].

She's never been the same since and she loved it.

Women's football, though.

I'd be bored after 5.
It was decent, tbh. Germany were miles better, but it was much better than I'd expected.

Only problem was the incredibly family-friendly atmosphere. There was no tribalism whatsoever. Tough to get gee'd up by the crowd when they don't seem to care.

The only problem with that is if there is a repeat of the Hull fiasco the kid might be trampled on by the thousands on the way out at three quarter time :whip:

if it's the bad language you're worried about then dont' take your kids to football matches. other than that it's fine. took my 2 year old g/daughter to the porto match in gwladys and she was ok. took my son first time when he was 6 and missed 3 goals because he wanted the toilet.
