Here's a fact for you: A Mexican bloke once told me that they only put lime in a beer to keep flies out of it. Nothing to do with taste.
This isn't a Zat story, honest, but I have sat with me now two Mexican lids and both agree that Mexican cerveza should include lime and that's it's for taste and not keeping flies away which is an urban legend.
They do, however, say it's a personal taste thing (some women don't like lime) and that in Mexico they are served in a wee dish separately to add as you wish, which I remember as being correct.

Since were on a Mexican theme for the BBQ I propose marinaded arrachera and jalapeño peppers, but roll them first (the Mexicans call it pissing them off) so it breaks the veins and makes them mucho mas picante.
