Player Valuation: £50k

this is my first post ever on this site, and first off I just wondered what people think about Yobo.
Personally i reckon hes a good player and dont see why some people critisise him, what do u's reckon?

He's a good player, without a doubt.

As HB would say, don't change a winning team? Yobo will have to wait his turn. Leighton and co are keeping clean sheets.

Solid, solid centre-back. We've had a better than decent defensive record over the last 5 years or so - Yobo's the one guy that's been there the whole time, first with Stubbs/Weir and now with Lescott/Jagielka.

His one downside is his distribution - perfectly fine if he's got someone within 10m to slide a pass to, if not, it's generally hoofed aimlessly up the pitch...

Plus there's the dribble attempt he pulls out every couple of months that has everyone needing a change of underwear...

Welcome to the forum I am sure you will enjoy it on here as we are all mad .

As for Yobo Id sell him in January if the right money where to be offered . I am like Big Bad Billy if the price is right you can have em !

Theirry Henry described Yobo as the best defender he has ever played against. Probably because for some time we were the only team he never scored against...

Different types of defenders but for me, Yobos pace edges him ahead of Lescott. Jagielka isn't in the same league, just yet. Jags is a backs up against the wall centre back - he would be found out big time in a bigger side distribution wise, Yobo wouldn't.

Controversial and most will disagree. But I think Jags is a tad overrated by some.

Henry described Ledley King as the best defender he'd faced, not Yobo.

Yobo and Lescott have far better physical attributes, Jagielka's is still a far better defender. He doesn't need pace and power, he's reads the situation.

Yobo's distribution is also woeful, both Jags and Jobo are hoofers.
