Hey all, although i'm a long time lurker i decided to register and take part of the discussions here. I wrote some things about me on "the foreign boys support" thread, i'll copy them here since i'll write the same things here anyway.

I'm a Turkish toffee, living in Istanbul (and no, my interest with Everton has nothing to do with Jo and Neill's transfers to Galatasaray >.<).

I don't know how I got chosen exactly to be honest. All I remember is watching the merseyside derby at Anfield Road which took place a couple of years ago, it was a 0-0 draw. I was watching in a neutral attitude to both times at the start, then something happened. I felt a deep sympathy with the blue boys on the court, it was a feeling like i was an Everton supporter all my life long. At first it seemed weird, to be honest it was my first time i was actually watching them play. Don't really know what tempted me to end up as an Everton supporter, but i'm glad i am one.

Right after the game, i jumped straight to the internet and read all the information about the team and history. Thanks to the internet, its easy to keep in touch with the team.

The most brilliant time for me as an Evertonian in my short blue past was the 118th minute goal by Dan Gosling. I was so thrilled, I celebrated even more than most victories of my native football team (Besiktas JK - known for winning against Liverpool 2-1 in CL in 2007. Probably you know the game at Anfield as well, which i dont want to mention right now.).

To sum up, it's kinda hard to support the Toffees from such a distance, but thankfully I can watch the replays of most games, and live broadcastings of major games. Hopefully I will come to England one day just to visit Goodison Park and watch some matches (The other option is maybe Galatasaray draws Everton in the next round but don't think they will get past Atletico Madrid. Even if they did, I will have to watch the match from Galatasaray side of the seats >.<). I hope we'll down a couple of drinks with you fellows on some match day around Goodison.

and after all, i'm glad to have joined GOT, since it seems a really nice community.

also sorry for my bad english >.<
