Bainsey

Player Valuation: £20m
I love his Attitude and i love his Arrogance, watching the goal today and his aftermath celebrations, he very much reminds me of Henry as in "that was all to easy"

The finish was absolutely world class. No doubt about it.

Most of the time you have to put power from that distance for it to get past the keeper. To just more or less pass it in the back of the net, is genius.

Second highest Premierleague scorer behind Henry (i believe) so he certainly has earned the right.

I'm still waiting for a real screamer from the Yak though. You know, beat a couple of defenders then rifle one in to the top corner from 25 yards.

Cant remember one like that for us.

I made that mistake too before being corrected. Only the past few years is Yak second behind Henry, theres Owen, Dwight Yorke and a few more who have scored more.

He's top quality, very very underrated. Nothing gets to him either, he knows he's a goalscorer and he always knows he'll score goals.

I remember the fools making him a bit of a boo boy in his first few games, the lad behind me booed him off when he was taken off after the Boro game early last season.

He doesn't care though, he's a natural finisher and his mentality is spot on. His link up play is also very underrated, he's a very good footballer.

aye he just makes everything look so easy and simple, his finishing has got to be up there with the best in the league, I think last season he was actually the highest player in the league for attempts/goals ratio.

He definately can hit it hard. Against Pompey last year, if James had saved that shot he would still be in hospital now. Or the goal against Chelsea last year... Absolutely love the guy!

That was Lescott. By an absolutely huge amount. Yak was second though :)

The commentators said soemthing today similar. I thought it was that he was the highest premierleague scorer currently playing in the premierleague.

If thats true it would rule out Owen.

top 10 according to Wikipedia is this :

1 Alan Shearer 260 2 Andrew Cole 187 3 Thierry Henry 174 4 Robbie Fowler[70] 161 5 Les Ferdinand 150 6 Teddy Sheringham 147 7 Michael Owen[70] 137 8 Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink 128 9 Dwight Yorke[70] 123 10 Ian Wright 113

Yakubu i believe is on 101 with his goal today, reckon he can get 8th place by the end of the season :)

How many games did i take Wright to get to 113 out of interest?

203 if ive worked it out right, so not a bad record at all.

Actually Yakubu only has 71 premierleague goals, the rest are cup and lower league games.

71 goals in 171 games.

Yak just needs to belt penalties instead of being to cool for school with em.

Other than that, he'll be in the top 5 goalscorers by the end of the seaon.

Hes only missed two penalties in the league (One against us for Boro and the other against Pompey) put every other one away and he took them on a regular basis for Portsmouth & Boro.

And in a certain penalty shoot out :@

Next one he gets he will bang in though. In a cup game of course.
