considering beckford played 38 matches i doubt it, he had the matches and the chances but he blew it
Half of those were as a sub. Makes a big difference.

Exactly. Don't get me wrong Saha is without a shadow of a doubt the best striker we have, on par with the best in the league, but all that doesn't matter when he is injured all the time.

I understand the business aspect of selling him, i.e. got him for **** and turned a 3mil profit etc.
But realistically we wont have the means to bring in a better striker with the time left, unless I'm missing something.

And you can never underestimate that particular fact! But yes if it meant keeping Vic out of the team I would take him. James was another striker that was never given a chance up front by Moyes
