Baffled as to how BT thinks this will attract extra subscribers. All the armchairs will have it anway due to them being on every week but how and why could they ever think this will do anything but stop others from subscribing. Weird.

BT, which has secured the rights to show Premier League games for its broadband customers, has launched an advertising blitz that appears to be dominated by Liverpool. Could it be a mere coincidence that Gavin Patterson, the chief executive of the telecoms group, is an avid Red?

Id reckon equally that they (BT & RS) both deserve each other in that they both fail to deliver the goods as hyped to......
 
I reckon its due to the fans pressuring the media, we all know what cult like behaviour they behave in sometimes.

Think about Super Sunday with the Gary neville analysis. Now i remember most people praising Nevilles analysis so its not like there was an outcry of this, apart from probably Liverpool fans who feel insulted seeing a former United player dare analyse their team so in order for sky to get them off their backs they had to shoehorn in Jamie Carragher even though there was not particular reason or demand for him in the first place.

In fact id be surprised if i have ever seen a Liverpool game where they don't have at least one red pundit. I'm sure one channel tried it once and regretted it for a while
 

People go on and on about Diego and the Hand of God.

That horrible bugger robbed us of a Wembley Cup Final win in 1984 when he cleared Kevin Sheedy's goal bound shot off the line using his hand.

And we didn't even get a penno.
