Tough landing in nasty gusty crosswinds. There are two techniques to landing, but unfortunately in an aircraft like that with long wings and engine pods there is usually only one method to choose. Any landing that lets the passengers out safely is a good landing.

Also, while it looks spectacular, and scary for the passengers, that seemed pretty run of the mill (as much as it gets for flying) with a heavy touchdown. Pilots train for this and worse, they train for the extreme. Of course they aren't infallible, but landings like this happen all the time.

Bah, should have watched the whole vid. Didn't see the bunny hop. I bet there was a few dry-cleaning bills generated because of that......

Reckon that's bad, this is a standard landing in Wellington, NZ. Possibly the scariest place to land that I've seen. I drive down to the city rather than fly.

Ew.. that videos hard for me to watch.

I'm absolutely petrified of flying. I know it's an irrational fear but I just can't get my head around it.

I still do it because I don't wanna let the missus down. It'd be pretty grim if I point blank refused to travel anywhere with her.

So basically I sit there, crapping myself for the whole flight.

Got Thailand coming up in about four months. Dreading the flight already.
