Would you want to turn into Man City

I'd like some money to invest in players, that would be a start. Or even the norm.

What I wouldn't want is the gobsh*te circus that comes with it, bad tits of footballers and bell fans.

A City Esq. takeover, followed by a City Esq running of our club would possibly force me away from Everton..

City is a poorly run football club, Mancini lets ****heads like Ballotelli mascaraed all over the place with little respect, and every player that goes there goes for one reason, a massive pay check.

They can say they "Believe in the project" but it's not about that.. I hate City, and their money.

Just to drive this point home, I hate City more than Liverpool fc.

Thats a silly comment to make and I suppose only somebody from outside Merseyside could make it.

Not all of us from outside Merseyside, mate :@

I hate City too, but more than the Sh!te? Not a chance. And its probably envy anyway. That, and their dick of a manager. And squad.

Winds me up no end, the way that ancient rivalries seem to be being re-written these days. What gets me most, is the way the Koppites barely notice us any more, their more interested in their rivalry with Utd these days (all the ones down sarf at least).

P!sses me off mostly cause we seem more and more like an afterthought each season.

I didnt say all, but I couldnt really see somebody from Merseyside saying they hated City more than the RS.

I suppose it depends if you think football started with the Sky bang in 92?

I hate City, more than the RS? Not even close.

I know mate, not meaning to get in your face about it :)

But you wouldn't believe the number of Utd fans down here that regularly try and tell me that their rivalry with the Sh!te is one of the longest running and most bitterly contested in the country blah blah.

Knobs, the lot of 'em. But a sad indictment of the state of our club, when we can't even seem to keep our derby's sacred, because everyone else forgets about us :(

I think we would be better with the kind of money Spurs, Villa and Liverpool have. Like there are limits, but they have enough to realistically put offers in for top players. Or have done for the past few years. I think we'd be better at buying the right players too.

Even though i'm very depressed with our club and it's future ,i wouldn't want to
turn into a club like them........i don't think

Are we all just happy waiting for Hibbert to score or Arteta to take a decent corner?

your thought on the subject would brighten my day

coyb

I don't think city really wanted to be like city, but they're sure reaping the benefits of big money. If our financial situation got so desperate that we were days from going under, and then some Arabian prince swooped in and gave us money to expand Goodison, and infused 100 million into our transfer budget? I wouldn't complain, we'd still be Ebepton.

This.

You just know that we'd end up building a new stadium on some ancient burial ground or something. We'd all be clubbed to death when the dixie statue came to life and went on a rampage.
