Even though i'm very depressed with our club and it's future ,i wouldn't want to
turn into a club like them........i don't think

Are we all just happy waiting for Hibbert to score or Arteta to take a decent corner?

your thought on the subject would brighten my day

Would be nice to have SOME money but I would also want to actually see some pride in wearing the royal blue instead of a bunch of over paid mercenaries who don't give a **** about the club they play for and pimp themselves out like a whore's on a Friday night to the next person who comes waiving a hand full of cash.

I know that is the sorry state of the modern game but I still think (well hope) that we have a core group of players who would fight for each other through thick and thin (like a sunday league team who go out on the lash every week) and not a group who don't give a dam if they play or not and are quite happy sitting in the stand taking home £70K+ per week.

Still its all hypothetical really as we are skint so we must just get on and enjoy life as one of the lucky chosen ones :)

No. Never.

I would have nothing against a sell to buy policy if it meant we could stay away from sugar daddys, if only there were some yearly cash injections to relieve pressure on what to sign. What we have at Everton is something that is not available anywhere else imo, a great manager, a squad of players that all seem to place the team before the player. And with the change in our play for the last couple of years I see us as something of an Arsenal lite. We need more end product but our appeal to football lovers has increased immensely over the time I've been a follower.

No doubt Man ****y have some quality players and will win some trophies because of their spending power, but look at the players they have bought and then that player's career takes a big crash, e.g jo, swp, robinho to name a few, then the problems of players like tevez and bellamy. Everton have heart and a group of players that all have respect for each other and work for their manager not just for a paycheck. Everton are like oatmeal, strong, solid and good for your health, unlike Man ****y who are like your sugar coated frosted choco flakes, expensive, soggy and full of crap.

i would love it, must be great looking around and buying good players , when they start winning a few things ,they will get even better players, and for fans who have been in the shadow of a so called bigger club it must be sweet to have the chance to be up there with them, and maybe even pass them in the coming years.

depends on what you mean - have citehs money then yes

to have how they operate...not really

they're challenging for titles now, something we won't be able to do for the considerable future

Would be nice to have the cash to buy any player but we shouldn't change what Moyes has done for the structure of the team for someone who wants to be the BIG I AM, no way

Yes, I would like the club I love to get lots of money, lots of great players and win trophies.

No, I wouldn't want our board, our manager, our players and our fans to all start acting like a bunch of bad meffs.

I would like Everton to be able to win trophies with home grown and cheaply bought players and without bankrupting an entire country but the modern game isn't designed that way, much to it's detriment. It would be an extraordinary achievement to win the league without spending what City and Chelsea spend and one that's unlikely to happen in the next decade or so, as sad as I think that it is.

That's as much a damnation on the state of english football as you can get.

As I've said on numerous times before, we don't have to be like Manchester City to compete in this league. It's not like we have a squad of players of who are all useless (Like Man City did). Just a bit of money coming in to get a top-class striker, left-sided midfielder, right back and perhaps a goalkeeper and we'll be competing for 4th.

No. We need to stay mediocre forever and win **** all. And when Bill dies we need to have him stuffed and continue in the role as Chairman...just like we did with Phillip Carter.

I'd be 100% for a City-like takeover. I'm rabidly opposed to the media smearing of City's route to success and this laughable pretence that there is any other, more "pure" or "noble" way.
