Frang

Player Valuation: £70m
Theoretically the World Cup is the pinnacle of the sport and what every player aspires too..

these days though with clubs able to build teams full of internationals from all over the world and win leagues with these teams , id say that playing for a Man city or Barcelona is playing at a higher level than a team made up of only home nationals ..

who wins out of Man City v France

for arguments sake if City have any French internationals , they will play for France .

City.

Club football is far stronger and usually better than international football.

I agree

but after typing out my question , it has got me thinking and it would be one hell of a game..

has anything like this ever been played ??

I know we get the super cup , champ league v Europa winners … and then the South American v European cup winners..

would be genuinely interesting

International football and the World Cup have a different dynamic. One that makes the intensity rise, the stakes seem greater, however, I think it has been for a couple decades at least now where top club teams are better.

It's not even a question in my opinion where the top 10 club teams vs the top 10 national teams, both performing at their best, the club teams are taking 6 or 7 games.

be very interesting to see, but im not sure how they could make it competitive...also i think if any man city players played for france they would have to be exempted from playing

Can't quite recall which pundit said it, but it was along the lines of "If there were two "Raheem Sterling" then England would beat City.

The standard in the World Cup is normally a few levels down on top European club football, being able to field top players of all nationalities in a top club side with no limitations naturally makes it far stronger, even than the top European national teams.
