Worst TV theme tunes

Everyone has their favourites, but recently I've encountered two really bad ones.

1) Orange Is The New Black: Sung (caterwauled) by Regina Spektor, this is utterly horrible. No redeeming features whatsoever.

2) Californication: Random tuneless guitar riffage by a Jeff Buckley wannabe.

Shame as both programmes are excellent.

How on earth can you make a show called Californication and NOT have "Californication" by RHCP as the theme song?

True, but its not exactly a theme tune kinda song is it?

I believe that the RHCP wanted too much money at the time to let them use it or rather their record company did

Depends - Half The World Away doesn't sound like a typical theme song ever, but that worked. Or Handbags and Gladrags.

Could always remix a song to suit too.
