World's Best Stadiums

That's quite an unusual way of building a new stadium, interesting though.

I wonder if Valencia's stadium will ever be completed.

If I recall correctly doesn't much of the Valencia's half built new stadium have to come down due to the concrete structure being left exposed for so long?

That's what I read, and they didn't have the money to do that either, probably a lot more of it stuffed now as well. I'm sure I read that the demolition will cost more now than if they had finished the build originally.

Never been too much of a Badger fan, but the University of Michigan's 'Big House' of 115,000 is surely worth a mention.

I once attended a game there, attendance 112,784. Surely the largest crowd I will ever be a part of.

I'm off to the Maracana in June for the Brazil-England friendly (assuming the redvelopment is finished on time). Can't wait, but do wish I'd been to the 'old' Maracana.

I must say that Marseille's redevelopment work is looking superb.

And I'll be off to wave farewell to Bilbao's classic San Mames in the next few months. Another iconic ground bites the dust, just like the amazing Rasunda in Stockholm last month :-(
