A thread talking about the atrocities and deaths in WW2 is not a thread I was expecting to see jokes.

As for the amount of Russian deaths. The russians kiled more Jews in Genocide, than the German Holocaust did. That is the shocking fact.

Also, the Russians created a pact of no aggression with the Nazi's, up until the Germans invaded Russia. Stalin was very uneducated

didn't Adolf swipe half of his native Austrian side for the German national side in the mid 1930's.... remember, at this time Austria were one of the best footballing sides in the world, kind of like the Hungary of twenty years later, perhaps not quite as good, but they were a damn fine side with star players, the Fuhrer swiped them for the German side, but it was Italy who were winning world cups about that time.

and to answer a previous query, WW1 was far worse in atrocity and bloodshed than the second was 20 years or so further on, the conditions in those trenches for the fighting men was so dire and hellish it's hard for future generations to comprehend, a little late for Poppy Day, but we shall never forget.

quite impressive, unfortunately there will always be wars, people at odds with each other, over one thing or another, sometimes quite trivial, there will always be some corner of the world where battles are ongoing, bloodshed, families in the thick of it, over land territory and such, it could be like space or numbers, just an infinite thing that has no end to it.

world peace? people are more in hope than expectation.
