Scottoffee

Player Valuation: £10m
As a Scot, I'm chuffed to bits with the new rankings out today.

15 - England
16 - Scotland

We've got Macedonia & Iceland in the next week whilst your lads have Andorra and then a tricky rematch with the Croats.

This time next month, there's a very real possibility that we'll be sitting above England for the first time in a while.

Means sod-all at the end of the day (especially with no McFadden, Weir or Naysmith any more), but if neither of us are going to qualify for anything, this is about as close to bragging rights as it gets!

indeed it is...

I like to see Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland do well, so I'm happy for you. Generally watch England games but not really that fussed beyond a general hope that we'll win games until the quarter finals. Definitely support England above the rest though. Sadly Scotland et al rank about third with me as the Liechtenstein national team is my second national team!

On the face of things, all of us except the Welsh have a good chance of at least making 2nd in our groups and then the playoffs...

Scotland's got Holland as favourites then the Norwegians which aren't up to much these days.

England's got the Croat's again then Ukraine who aren't much good - Tymoschuk's class and maybe Shevchenko if he ever find's his rhythm again. Should top the group.

N.I. has the Czechs & the Poles, but if they can beat Spain, anything could happen.

Ireland have the Italians but then only Bulgaria / Georgia to take care of.

Unlucky Wales have Russia, Germany & Finland.

Could see 4 of us in South Africa - depending on the playoff draw.

I hope so - my old man promised my brother and I a holiday back in '98 to the next tournament we qualified for, although should probably pay my own way now!
