world cup memories [in video]

Cracking idea for a thread mate.

An insane moment that had me bouncing around my living room and my dad just utterly speechless.

Obviously ended up in misery as per.

Brian Moore and Barry Davies. My first world cup memories are made from them.

Absolute lols at the American commentary.

Jack Edwards. His calls in the Portugal match in '02 were amazingly over the top. "Mine eyes have seen the glory!", "Friedel is from MARS! He certainly isn't from this planet." A decade later some of my friends and I still use them with one another.

And while the Donovan goal is up, and Darke's call is brilliant, I still get goosebumps listening to Andres Cantor's emotional call and thoughts on Landycakes immediately after.

World Cup 1990 is simply my favourite World Cup ever!! First memory's come from 86 but only being 7 at the time they are vivid memory's.

1990 tho I was a footy mad kid. We had a ace manager, ace song, ace players. The tournament itself was full of ace players. The Nets at italia 90 were amazing, first time I'd seen nets like that, were so different to what English teams were using, they made every goal look better! The emergance of gazza, the tears the typical unlucky England out on peno's!!

Wow what a WC.

Just saw the whole game re-run on Croatian television. Memories, memories, memories. :drunk:
