Any competition that needs your phone number can go and screw itself. Like I want anymore companies ringing me up asking about double glazing or a new kitchen.

COMPETITION INFORMATION – GOLDEN TICKET COMPETITION

Name of competition:
Golden Ticket Competition

Competition entry:
Follow the instructions given in ITV’s coverage of the England World Cup Qualifiers, the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup as shown on ITV1 and/or ITV4 (the “programme”). Eligible entries will be entered into a draw to win a prize.

Opening/closing date & time:
·Competition opens for entries via SMS and online as stated in programme.
·Competition closes for entries via SMS as stated in the programme. Entries made after the closing time will not be entered into the competition but may still be charged.
·Online entry via the www.itv.com website closes as stated in the programme but in the event of any technical disruptions to the website, the online entry route will remain open longer and for at least 3 working days after the programme.

Competition draw dates:within no more than one week of the closing date for all entries.

Method & cost of entry:
·SMS text – send a SMS text to 65330;up to 5 entries per telephone number. Each text costs £1.50 plus one standard network rate message.
·Online – go to www.itv.com and follow the instructions; up to 5 entries per telephone number. There is no charge for online entries.

There is no entry via PRTS, red button, email or post to this competition. Entries on behalf of another person are void. Entries over the maximum number of entries for each method of entry, or entries made or received by the Promoter after the closing date and time, or entries which are incomplete, misspelt, incomprehensible, or not received are void and will not be entered into the competition but may still be charged.

An 8 digit ticket number will be generated for each successful entry. The ticket number of the first entry drawn at random on the competition draw date may be read out on air during ITV’s football coverage. Confirmation of the winner will be subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions.

Eligibility requirements:
To be eligible to be the winner, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

(a)You must be a resident of the United Kingdom and hold a valid passport; and
(b)You must be aged eighteen (18) years or over at the date of entering the competition; and
(c)You must not be employed, and have not been previously employed or engaged by, and must not be a live-in partner or immediate relative (e.g. mother, son, daughter, brother or sister) of an employee at the ITV Plc group of companies, or any of their subsidiaries and/or agencies associated with this competition (including the prize provider); and
(d) You (and the three companions you choose) must be available for all the necessary dates specified below; and
(e)You must not have any football banning orders against you, any past convictions related to football hooliganism or any other restrictions imposed by a football association or sports governing body or governmental authority in any country which would prevent the winner and/or their companions from taking up the prize (or any part thereof).

Prize:
The first entry drawn at random from all eligible entries in the prize draw will be the winner of the prize subject to eligibility and compliance with all applicable terms and conditions. In the event that two identical 8 digit ticket numbers have been generated the Promoter will randomly select one of the two ticket numbers as the winning ticket. The prize is four tickets, for the winner and three companions as chosen by the winner for the following football finals in 2010: the UEFA Europa League Final in Hamburg on 12 May2010, the FA Cup Final in London on 15 May 2010, the Champions League Final in Madrid on 22 May 2010 and the World Cup Final in Johannesburg on 11 July 2010. The prize also includes for the winner and three companions:

  • return flights from London to Hamburg on 11 May and returning on 14 May and 3 nights’ hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis in Hamburg from 11 to 13 May 2010; 2 nights’ hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis in London from 14 to 15 May 2010; return flights from London to Madrid on 21 May and returning on 23 May and 2 nights’ hotel accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis in Madrid from 21 to 22 May 2010; and
  • return flights from London to Johannesburg on 8 July and returning on 12 July and 3 nights’ accommodation on a bed and breakfast basis in Johannesburg from 9 to 11 July 2010.
In addition the prize includes a cheque for £10,000(ten thousand pounds sterling) payable in the name of the winner only.

For the avoidance of doubt, accommodation as detailed above is for two rooms based on two people sharing. All flights will be economy class only and time of travel will be confirmed nearer to the travel date. It will be necessary for the winner to provide full details, information and confirmation of which individuals will be travelling to the above locations and the winner agrees to provide these details, information and confirmation at the request of the Promoter and/or prize provider and in any event no later than 19 March 2010.

The winner may select different companions to attend each of the football finals.

It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure that they and their three companions are available for all the applicable dates specified above. The winner must be a UK resident aged 18 years or over, and may be required to provide proof of age and eligibility. If the winner’s companions are under 18 years of age they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Restrictions may apply, including but not limited to health, safety and access restrictions. In addition, neither the winner nor their companions must be subject to any football banning orders, or any past convictions related to football hooliganism, or any other restrictions imposed by a football association or sports governing body or governmental authority in any country which would prevent the winner and/or their companions from taking up the prize (or any part thereof). The Promoter and/or prize provider reserve the right to conduct checks against the winner and their companions in relation to this.

The winner and their companions are required to adhere to the travel itinerary and all instructions and guidelines given, including but not limited to health and safety instructions, in taking up the prize. The winner and their companions must each have a fully valid passport with at least 6 months to run on it as at 12 July 2010. Where visas or other travel documentation are required for any of the winner and/or their companions to travel to the destinations specified above, it is the responsibility of the individual requiring the visa or other travel documentation to obtain the visa or such documentation at their own cost.

The winner and their companions must travel together, departing from and returning to the same location and it is the responsibility of the winner and their companions to have travel insurance to cover any overseas medical costs. The Promoter cannot guarantee that seats will be adjacent to each other or in the same block for each match. The Promoter reserves the right to amend any element of the prize for reasons beyond their reasonable control. The prize is non-changeable, non-transferable and non-upgradeable. There is no cash equivalent or alternative prize. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any costs, liabilities, damages or losses or for any medical conditions aggravated or incurred by the winner and/or their companions in taking up the prize. For the avoidance of doubt, the prize excludes all other costs and arrangements not specified above including but not limited to any additional accommodation, travel/transportation costs and/or arrangements including but not limited to travel to London for the FA Cup Final, UK transfers, ground transportation, alcoholic beverages, parking costs, any inoculation and/or vaccination costs, hotel supplementary charges, excursions, spa treatments, telephone calls, room service, mini-bar goods, programmes, personal items, souvenirs, incidental costs, taxes and any insurance, including but not limited to travel and medical insurance, unless otherwise stated.

On or as soon as practicable after the competition draw date the winner will be contacted on the phone number they provided when entering the competition. The Promoter will not amend contact information provided once entry to the competition has been made. The Promoter will use all reasonable endeavours to contact the winner of the prize on or as soon as practicable after the competition draw date. The Promoter will contact the prize winner on the phone number they provided, calling three times in a two-hour daytime period. If successful contact is not made, or if the winner fails to meet the eligibility requirements as set out in the general competition terms and conditions, and elsewhere as applicable, or are otherwise unable to comply with these terms and conditions and take up the prize as specified, this may result in forfeiture of the prize and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next correct entry drawn at random from all eligible entries and thereafter until a winner is found.

Delivery:
The winner must follow instructions given by the Promoter and/or prize provider to take up the prize. The Promoter endeavours to confirm arrangements for collection and/or delivery of the event tickets, travel and accommodation to the winner within 2 months of winner confirmation i.e. the date that the winner has been contacted and their eligibility has been confirmed. The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to deliver the cheque within 28 days of winner confirmation.

General prize information:
The prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the prize provider and/or the relevant football association including but not limited to any applicable ticket terms and conditions and/or Stadia codes of conduct. The prize is subject to winner confirmation, i.e. the Promoter managing to contact the relevant winner and receiving confirmation of eligibility. Other restrictions may apply. The winner may be required to participate in publicity. The Promoter will only pass an entrant’s data to third parties for marketing purposes if that entrant has asked to receive marketing information from those third parties.

The Promoter and/or prize provider may be required to send the personal data of the winner and their companions to third parties outside the United Kingdom, for the purposes of fulfilling and administering the prize including but not limited to match ticket administrators, football associations and football authorities, and the winner agrees to such transfer for these purposes.

I try to avoid ITV like the plague, nothing but an avalanche of crap off that channel, but it's a tempting offer.

Calls cost £1.50 a minute it says, lasting for about twenty I imagine. :dodgy:

Is says you must be 18 or over to participate, so, er, um, I'm only four years old , but am very proficient with computers.

Now where's my rusks. :huh:
