Surely these should be efficient, machine, robotic.

You have an amazing chip on your shoulder given your international team is the best in the world. I've never supported a team that good but I've always hoped that if I ever did, I'd stop being so bitter and hate filled.

Please don't take that hope away from me.

haha, calm down son lol you sound like the one with a chip. "bitter" and "hate-filled"? That's way too OTT, isn't it? You need to look at the Echo-RS thread in the World Forum, that might teach you the meaning of those words.

No, I dont have an amazing chip on my shoulder. I was making a light crack about how often Germany are described as efficient and machine-like. Maybe a smiley would've helped?

The Graunst touch on the "efficiency" thing here, making a solid argument it actually perfectly describes this German team:

I was describing myself as bitter and hatefilled not you, mate.

Exciting could be put into any context for England.

On the face of it not really.

Add people talking about Ross Barkley into the mix. Boom. Exciting.

I was excited for the England games as I knew I'd have boss nights out.

Depends how the word is used.

I think realistically after the Italy game there was a million articles all about "England lost but showed some exciting play".

Sheer volume of media reporting on England just put that word there.
