I'd say St. Helens, mainly because they kid themselves into some pretence of being an extension of Liverpool.

At least Wigan knows its place in the world.

See, I have grown up with being a wool mate with originally being from sintellins, where when they get called scousers by mancs they used to actually inform them that they wren't and were woolybacks.

Pie-eaters were never woolybacks though cos they didn't work the docks they were all down the mines, those same mines that they got their pie-eaters tag from..... went out on strike but couldn't get the rest of the miners support so had to slide back to work and eat a bit of humble.

Only a WOOL would say that Wigan or St Helens are not WOOLs.
