Women, central heating & the inability to determine a comfortable temperature

That's about the same as us. We trying to get double glazing in next year that should save us some money.

Payback time on double glazing is ages. Best payback times are loft insulation and cavity wall insulation. Lighting is an obvious one too. Then, when you're replacing white goods make sure they're the most energy efficient. If you've got an old inefficient boiler then putting a condensing boiler in will save a lot.

Replacing glazing is low down the list, unless of course it's knackered. If the single glazing units are fine then buy some cheap thick curtains to cut down on draughts.

Is this the dullest thread on GOT or does the kettle one beat it ?
