Up. And down. Up. And down. Up. Up. You'll not thank me for starting the thread comparing our last six game sequence with a cheap Venga Boys analogy but there, it's done now.

Bit harsh that from me as since the turn of the year we've been mostly ace. At home we've been stunning but we were short of a really big away win, Arsenal was close and I'm not alluding to City being the massive club they clearly believe but their record speaks for itself at home this season. Or should I say, it spoke for itself.

Even the most sceptical of blues must be looking at that league table and thinking that euro qualification might be on. Naturally at the expense of them lot across the park would be the ideal scenario but it's fair to see we have a considerably easier run in than those were looking to suck in. We'll see.

One thing we need to do is claim the points without excuse and a trip to Molyneux has to count as three points we should go for. It would be a disrespect to Wolves to talk about turning up and taking them without any sort of battle as they have raised a few eyebrows with a stoical season back up in the Premiership, sat 7 points clear of the relegation zone. No easy measure so credit to McCarthy there, they are also on the back of really good seven points from their last three matches against West Ham, Villa and Burnley so confidence will not be in short measure here.

They do, consistent with the 1970s Midlands, have some right zany fans who like to try and fulfil their little Danny Dwyer fantasies, as I marvelled last time at three of their lids trying to haymaker a group of young Everton lads outside their ground. So there you have it, watch out, you'll know them by their gold chains outside their Pringle jumpers. Not one punch landed incidentally much to amusement.

It's likely a nap that Everton will line up similar to who started at City with the only doubt being Tim Howard who was either in a lot of pain or, for the cynical minded of you, putting on a bit of a blag show to gain some time and allow us a rare visit back to the 1980s with a centre half tw*tting the ball from goal kicks. Despite the pre match anxiety of Osman being on the right of midfield that five in the middle had some fluidity about their play and moved the ball well. Obviously being harried in possession by the lesser chinned S. Ireland is not quite the same as having D. Jones kicking you up the hoop while you're in possession.

So, as with every game left, big game this.

This will be harder than City IMO. Whilst we should be going for 3 points, I will be over the moon if we get them. Tough, tough game. Would take a scrappy 1-0 right now.

we better watch out and show up focused as the Wolves looked pretty good at Villa and West Ham. They definitely don't want to lose too many pts at home the remainder of the season if they hope to stay up.

One thing with Wolves is, perhaps Chelsea or Man Utd away aside, they haven't been well beaten before. It's usually very close games, odd goals and the such. Doubt there'll be many goals, so as I say, 1-0 will be flipping marvellous.

Also, I've got a lot of time for McCarthy. Down to earth, says as it is, an altogether refreshing attitude in today's world.

We could only muster a draw off them at Goodison, back when we were badly [Poor language removed].

Watched in person by Danny and I with possibly the shittest seats in the history of soccer. Bird's eye view.

Same here.

Applauded him for sending that mouth Keane home from the World Cup.

You and I both, mate.
His interview after the own goal-inspired 1-0 loss to Reading last year made for many laughs with my Wolves mate over here.
"F-king abysmal", I believe.

This will be a great game, they've been excellent when they want to play properly. Plus, they have George Elokobi on the bench, who eats planets for breakfast.

I'm saying 2-0, but very tense.

i think its going to be a hard game this, hes got them battling they where unlucky not to get the points at villa and they had three very well taken goals at west ham, hope we win but id settle for a draw no sod it a 2-1 win to the blues c.o.y.b:)

Well we need a win, so I shall predict one. I don't think this will be a classic and Wolves will be difficult to get the ball off at home.

2-1 COYB!
