Player Valuation: £35m
Just a thought but with FInancial fair play on it's way, once it arrives does that put us in a stronger possistion in regards to a takeover??

My thinking is you will No longer be able to do a city or Chelsea and spend hundreds of millions on players yet building a stadia for example will not affect anything.
Given we have lots of fans, a stadium that needs building to increase revenue and most impotently a very good squad that would not need the kind of investment that teams below us would to be competing for CL....

Does that put us in a better possistion for investment than were in currently??

Eg. Rich owners buy efc. Spend all there play money on stadium..increasing revenue's ect instead of rediculous amounts on players. Instead being able to spend a more modest amount on players as we already have some very good players/youngsters??

Or buying a villa where you got the stadium put would need to spend lots and lots more on the team which is gonna be very hard under FFP??

I expect new owners in the next 20 years.

I don't think Bill will be able to pull the wool as much when he's 86.

It means a rich owner cant come in and throw cash about unless they have a massive revenue stream coming in.

Citeh have played a blinder really by spending half a billion, boosting their profile world wide, won a few trophies and sold their naming rights to themselves for 300mill . They just have to lower the wage bill.

So we won't get a owner that will throw cash about now.

You can spend as much as you like on infrastructure though. Training ground, stadium etc doesn't effect FFP.

Also, I think buying youth players under a certain age doesnt effect FFP either. So expect more bidding wars and mega fees for 17 years olds rather than 25 year olds in the future.

We're bollocksed really unless we get someone in with a vision of the future that will boost us commercially and set some infrastructure in place.

But that won't happen if our asking price is meant to be about 150mill especially when another 100mill+ is needed to be injected into the clubs infrastructure

While I would like to believe it will create a level playing field, I'm just not that convinced. It probably won't make a difference to us as we seem to have a sensible wage structure. I'd say it will affect big spenders but I'm sure they'll get around it by paying another way, like bonuses perhaps.

Apparently the stadium issue is down to the fact of revenue. their saying that for example if we went from a forty thousand seater to a fifty five thousand seater they will only make money on the extra fifteen thousand and that it would take to long to start acctually making money from attendence fees.

this FFP. thing though if it is trying to make it fair should stop the teams thats spend
'x' amount of money and still let clubs that havent spent much spalsh it out id be fuming if we got took
over and couldnt splash the cash like city not like them obviously wouldnt want too be like them atall
but a deecent amount too get in the top four atleast?
