I know a lot of you out there aren't from around Liverpool and probably stay in hotels in the city when coming to watch the blues or other stuff.

I just wanted to share my experience with a particular place called City Studios - Rodney Street and to warn you all against using them.

I booked a one night stay in 4 apartments there tonight for myself and 10 others who are all coming into town for my stag do tonight.
I booked this 5 weeks ago and paid the balance of £1000.

Some of my party are in wheelchairs because none of us is particularly young (or under 50 for that matter). So I messaged them weeks ago about accessibility needs.

I've heard nothing back from this place in all the time since booking and of the two numbers I was given to contact one was out of service and the other was not being answered.

Last night at just gone 9pm I received a call to tell me they were cancelling our booking because they had made a mistake and don't accept large bookings.

This has left us all with nowhere to stay tonight and me running around this morning looking for an alternative that I can afford while I wait 7-10 days for them to refund me the money I have already paid out.

They also partner with The Sefton Park Hotel and it was the reception desk at that hotel that made the call to me last night to cancel the booking.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's just a cover story and they've either double booked it or given it away to someone they know or for more money to be honest.

The reviews of it are pretty dire - apart from the one's they did themselves.
