Wigan...wow.

Made up for them, I like Wigan, decent little town, good pubs, easy birds and short away trip

Is right lid. Good lads, best of luck to them. Boss easy birds.

I've had some weird, but wonderful nights in Wigan. Pub called The Boulevard, little metal/goth/indie type place, RFUS would love it, got rotten on 8% Cider in there, wonderful times

By the way, Roberto Martinez, im not even arsed, if Moyes goes, he'd be my choice for our next manager. The man is full of class, speaks so well and knows his onions. He's doing a phenomenal job there, im a big big fan

I just don't know why we're meant to lick Martinez's arsehole for keeping Wigan up. Paul Jewell did it, ffs. Steve Bruce had them up near the top half. It's not like he inherited an awful team, they're much worse now. Before he took over their league positions were a lot better than they have been with him in charge (10th, 11th, 14th and 17th compared to three bottom 5 finishes with him in charge).

In the same way that Moyes covers up the flaws in his approach by having us slot teams once the seasons' practically over and every bugger else has stopped caring, Martinez' team's mad charge up the league in spring hides the fact that from august to january they played the worst, least effective football of any team in all four leagues.

This is the guy who spent £6.5 million on Mauro Boselli and £2 million on Jason Scotland and you want him at a club that literally cannot afford a big money duff transfer.

Moyes transfer record is hardly glowing now is it? And truth be told, when it comes to the big games he knows how to fudge it up. He's tactically inept, reactive, indecisive and i think we'd all agree some of his big decisions have been baffling.

Say what you like about Martinez, but he's done it when it matters. And he's done it with flair and style. A stubborn advocate of attractive Football, he's completely changed the mindset of a team used to route one. He can produce a big performance, and motivate a quite frankly average team when needed to. Beating Liverpool on their own patch is more than Moyes has managed in 10 years.

I'm not saying sack Moyes, but if he did go, Martinez would be a damn fine choice. We got Moyes when he had much less pedigree than Martinez does now.
