Wife wins trip on Orient express....on TV

Lol, couldn't believe it.
The wife won £10 on some daft Bingo card, so phoned up. Amazingly she got through, was asked to wait and given a number.:unsure:

Her number came up, and the next thing, she's speaking to Ulrika Johnson on the phone on BingoLotto on Virgin 1, and asked to pick a number.

She picks 1, and wins a trip on the Orient Express.

All this time I'm in the kitchen with my phones on and missed it all.

Absolutely delighted for her. Couldn't have happened to a nicer person, and I'm not just saying that because she's my babe. She really is a little love.:D

Would love to find a re-run of the show if anyone can find me a link. (y)

we were on about it last night it was on poirot , be well comfy, you'll be needing a fedora or a panama for that trip.... and linen, all the top travellers wear linen.... except for wicker.
i'd go for a mix of looks myself, Hemmingway for the bar, Palin for the lounging around, wicker for the casino, and ashley from sin cities for the sleeping compartment.

Apparantly they're phoning back with details. I'm presuming it's a day trip, but don't know where to or where from yet. I just hope we can actually afford to win the prize, as if it's from London etc, then the Orient leaves at 08:25am and gets back to London at 10:30 for day trips, which might mean us having to pay for trains and hotels, and probably some clothes lol. Maybe it runs from Liverpool.
The food is supposed to be very good.

She was the 7th caller apparantly of 10 that could choose a number off the board ( see above ).
The prizes that followed after hers were a 42inch tv, an electric scooter and a spa break.
I'd say she did ok pcking number 1 lol.

The holiday in Venice won before her would have been nice though. Stuff the tv. We're only playing on it a few times a year lol :lol:
 
There can't be many who can say they have been on the Orient Express, but, I can. b)

Two years ago we went on a day trip, had a guided tour of Winchester and then on to Southampton where we boarded the train and it took us back to London Victoria, which coaches waiting to take those further home who needed it.

A snip at £225-00 per person. :blink:

They called it an "elite excursion"
