Why Stevie G is most self-obsessed footballer of his generation

No, hes not, next your gonna be telling me that Coutinho is better than Barkley.

Coutinho like Lucas is one of those rare Brazilians with no pace or particular skills on the ball mate, the rs seem to be unable to unearth this rare creature like no other

I refuse to converse with anybody who thinks Horrendson is "ace", good day to you sir.

tbf Goat like he did play well second half of the season like, imagine how many they'd have conceded without him relying on stevie geee to do some running

Clearly written by a man City fan, but spot-on nonetheless.
It's about time the Stevie Geeeelaaaar love-in was countered with some factual analysis. The man is a a long-baller, a cynical cheat and a grotesque choice as England captain. One of, if not the most over-rated player of his generation.

Even Phil 'kin Neville's got more medals......

Regards Henderson, its typically RS to flick the switch from whipping boy to poster boy. A prime example was Carragher who was absolutely vilified in his early days at Analfield then was suddenly the club icon...Houllier's "Carra". I don't think Henderson is anything special tbh but he's probably come into his own more creatively with Gerrard's move backwards.

I see Gerrard is in the ITV studio for the Champions League Final next Saturday zzzzzzz. Hope the cleaner makes sure the floors waxed nicely

That's a desperate attempt by Gerrard and his agent to reconnect with the Champions League success image he has from 2005 and distance him from the calamity that lost the title for Liverpool.

Very transparent.

True. The Kopites will say "he's Going Again... showing guts and a brave face after our cruel loss of the Premiership Title". Most rational people will see it for what it is....another huge advertising hoarding for his egotism. The same rational people might even say you'd think he'd keep a low profile and instead do his talking on the pitch at the World Cup next month. No doubt his end of season debacle will be swerved by the show's anchor and instead it will be a glorification of his experiences in European Finals. You can almost write the script...."Steven, you know what its like to both win and lose a Champions League Final, tell us what will the players be going through and how will they be feeling now ? " Should ask the viewers too...who will be feeling in need of very strong liquor and the remote control to switch to Sky's coverage.

Running order:

Adrian Chiles starts with a gentle ribbing/reference to THE SLIP (welcomed by GBH and his commercial handlers to "demonstrate" how he's a good all round egg who can take it, thus neutralising the ridicule and damage to 'the product'). Chiles then moves onto GBH's 2005 single handed winning of the CL final before seamlessly moving into the WC talk.

Job done.

All very predictable from GBH Co. Ltd.

That's the first 45 minutes of the build up covered, then.

And the entirety of half-time if one team is losing and we require an insight into how they'll be feeling in the dressing room.

Considering he is pretty much living the dream and has won a fair bit, you think he would crack a smile our even change the tone of his voice once in a while. Made up they lost the title even more so after that clingy huddle thing after the city game! Never seen anything so staged for t.v cameras on a football pitch
