My Poor litte Angle was up all night with a fever and was really ill. We try'd to look after her at home untill morning so we could take her the doctors. She was sleeping half an hr here an there. But she was waking up and screaming, all the time pointing to her ears. Were shore she has an ear infection (wich is one of the worst things to get).

About 3.30am she woke up and was really destressed. So we decided to take her the hospital, Aulder hey. It was like pea soup out-side it was so foggy. When we got their they saw to her and put us in a waiting list to see the doctors. I asked one of the nurses how long the wait might be. So she went away and came back and told me..........

7-8 Hrs..!!!!!! WTF. :o

There was 18-20 year old girls sitting there with babys that looked really sick and nothing was being done. They then told me the next person to go through had been there from 9.30 the night before. Dont get me wrong they do a fantastic job at Aulder hey. An were lucky to have it in Liverpool. But thats a fu*king joke.

Me an my partner just picked up all Amelia's stuff and walked out. Whats the point of sitting there all that time when the doctors opens at 8.00. Im just leaving now to go. The NHS is so shiote it untrue.

It's just so wrong...

Why and What do we pay so much tax for....????

Sharps I honestly don't think its down to the staff, taxes we pay or the facilities on offer, most of stories like this are down to piss poor management.

Yesterday, at Aintree Hospital my wifes appointment was 10.45am, i dropped her off outside and went to look for a parking place. It took me 45 minutes to park...............incredible....................when I caught up with her she was still waiting to go in for her appointment and the tension was mounting. We eventually got in to see the surgeon at turned 12.50 pm making our wait over two hours. considering the clinic didn't start until 9.30 am such a waiting time was inexplicable as there was an abundance of staff in the clinics.

It seems that the people who run the hospital have built on three car parks leaving the patients to struggle as best they could. They are building a multi story car park, after all the other renovations have been done............infirm and lame have been left to struggle to the hospital as no alternative parking arrangements have been made. On top of that both main entrances to the hospital had been closed at the same time leaving access for the entire hospital by a side door, wheelchairs, walking sticks, crutches all trying to get through one door..............amazingly stupid yes, have those responsible thought things through, actually I think the answer is yes but they just don't give a monkeys cuss about the people they serve..

All governments of any persuasion can do is provide money its disposal is left to jack asses running each Trust, I feel for the staff as they have to put up with it every day.

PS I hope your child is on the mend lad, these illnesses can be so worrying pal

Thanx monts.....

She's going to be fine. We got in the Doc's early and he gave us anit-biotics for her. So she should be fine. just the rigmarole of the hospital was unbelivable. 7-8 hrs to see a doc, when there's lots of sick kids waiting.

I'm really lucky, if the baby's ill i phone the out of hours doc who phone back and see's us in a&e within an hour, we don't go down til the time they give and are in and out. I can't knock nhs wales for anything!

I know what you mean Sharps, in my experience the ground floor sharp end troops face the flak while the bureaucrats who create the problems get away with murder, in some cases literal murder.

Nice to see she is on the mend mate(y)

Was fortunate enought to make it to the Athens game with my dad,

whilst walking thru Athens he slipped during the downpour and cracked his elbow. Dads a soldier so we still went to the game and saw Bily score on 6mins. The everton fans were brilliant.

Dads elbow swelled up like an egg. it looked awful.

Last night after a week of hearing him moan I ordered him to go to the local 'Walk In Surgery'.

He was back 30mins later with a full diagnoses, advise, and piece of mind.

No appointment. Just walked straight in and was seen. Some sort of trial 'Walk In' NHS service in Bedford where we live.

I thought they did this countrywide????
