Why our form has taken such a dip?

Its quite obvious to me and its a combination of things. Firstly and most obviously its that we dont possess enough quality to be where the expectations are set for us to be.

I think privately the team wants to be top four, but unfortunately we dont have the creativity or determination to be a team who get to the top four. Personally I think we are really short of true creative midfielders, the likes or Arteta, Pienaar.. even Osman. We only have Barry who is more of a deep lying playmaker and really at his age he just cant perform every week.

Without this creativity a team like ours will only get in the top four through sheer determination and playing to the maximum every week, however these players arent capable of this and dont seem to have the correct mentality or professionalism or work rate to do this. I could easily see us beating Man Utd this week but then following that up with a loss at Watford. I think that because of the expectations of players and their realisation it wont happen we are subsequently seeing sloppiness and half hearted performances.

For the first time in my following Everton which has been 20 years I have pretty much scrapped this season in my head and accepted we will finish mid table. between 7th-12th. We wont do any better than that and it will be a difficult season to watch.

Depending on signings in January we may push for a bit higher but this is another problem for me. Koeman tried to sign Sissoko and he has signed Bolasie. I'm concerned about how he sees these players improving our team. Are either really upgrades on Deulofeu or Mirallas? I personally feel we should be signing players who are more consistent as consistency is required for top four.

Our formation is wrong for our squad and there clearly not listening to the managers instructions

And we have no plan B when lukaku is being marked out ... niasse probably deserves a go as a option from the bench

Our squad needs updating. On Sunday there were still more Moyes players starting outfield than the other two, that's down to lack of investment by Kenwright and poor signings by Martinez.

The players have had smoke blow up their arses for so long that they seem to be believing their own hype, trouble is very few players can get away with not giving 100% and we don't have one of them.

We also have no charchter, no characters and no leaders. That's not a slant on individuals ability but it is something that will continue to hamper us.

Martinez set us back years from where Moyes left us, Koeman started well but now needs to push on - his biggest issue now is the unfavourable fixtures that are not the type of games where you could see the church mouses in our squad issuing rallying cries, we shall see.

Slow starts are killing us at home, we start fast and I'm sure the crowd will get on board.

I'd like to see the 2 DM's system dropped and go back to basics with four in mid and two up top. Yeah I know - two up top, spoilt for choice aren't we? lol

Because some/most of the players absolutely stink of how easy they had it under Martinez.

Koeman must wonder what they've been doing for 3 years.
So if they knew they had it easy why did they tank the last third of the season and force him out?

Koeman's first month was like Martimez's first season, and now it's like Martimez's other seasons.

Moyes's players may have had less natural talent but they busted a gut for each other and the club.

I can't see how any things gonna change at the moment, Clubs will quote us ridiculous prices in January, so it will be down to next summer.
