On a recent holiday to Florida I went to see Orlando Magic in the NBA. I was in awe of how fans are treated over there by their team. A street at the side of the arena has many fan interaction areas and music playing to get the fans in the mood. Its like a carnivale atmosphere and I was reminded just how **** it is around goodison pre match. Then on Sky Sports this morning I see Leiceseter have started the same type of thing. So would something like this appeal to our club and the supporters or are we happy just getting a bag of chips and an overpriced scarf from some old git on a market stall?

Americans just love how everything is convenient and persuasive in a disgusting buy-more-cause-you-like-us kind of way.
It's really hard to make something like that look like more than just a stupid jippo, yeah?
Especially for us hard-faced, scroogey evertonians.

ffs -I'm happy being grumpy.

Sounds a bit too American for me, but SOMETHING needs to be done around Goodison.

Popped their the other Friday to get the new shirt for my lad and could not believe what a **** hole it was. Part of the wall surrounding the car park at the Park End was missing (something to do with work being started and then halted due to us not having the appropriate permission), where Dixie was is slowly being taken over by weeds. On a positive note, the banner for the Villareal match was eyecatching!

Come on Everton, we need pride off and on the pitch!

Same when I went to see the Ice Hockey, the thing that shocked me being the amount of music played in the ground (rink-stadium? idk) but while it was a wonderful thing over there that got all the fans going, over here (in a place as bloody disturbingly self conscious as Liver- Merseyside)I can just see the entire crowd in one unified facepalm thinking "We laughed when Fulham did this, and now it's us. Oh God. Oh God.
To clarify, the music was mid game, and was like tension building stuff each time play was stopped, not just the top 40 before the game, which we do need to get rid of purely because it's all crap.

Re: Stadium music, i'm glad we're limited to singing Grand Old Team and the lovely Z-cars, compared to some of the far more tasteless modern pop bull**** being played in some stadiums.

I believe it was West Brom or something that played Black Eyed Peas' "I got a feeling" at half time? Or was it city?

Oh, and if anyone goes german on us and starts blaring Blur's Song 2 or something whenever a goal is scored, i will start following golf and cycling.

The reason why I watch the prem on Sundays instead of say: NFL is because it's missing all that flashy music/ lights bull ****..

Keep soccer simple people.. It's what separates us from them.
