Player Valuation: £1.5m
If Moyes cannot buy or loan any players, and there is no investment or buyout, I assume the current crop of players will have to play on for us until their 66th birthday when the government will pay their pension.
Something will have to give or we will have a team of youth players...

Realistically though, how long do our current crop of players have??

If the financial situation does not improve, theres only so many assets we have in the form of big name players.

What can we do when they are gone???

Neville will continue to play as long as his arm allows him to point at stuff.

We have two years, by which time any good players will have gone to fund the bank loans. By then we will be in the championship or League One. Seriously.

I wouldn't go as far as getting relegated. We are really not that crap. But I agree that something has to give.

What did you make of that Blue Union transcript????

keep it nice lolol.

plus, on a positive note Coleman, Barkley, Rodders, Baines, are still young.

Paying employees through the roof when we are losing 5m a year is poor business management, you know that.

I'm starting to think that, in a non personal way and a purely business minded approach, that our current ageing players like Saha etc, are bleeding the club dry due to our own stupidity. I can't knock them as people, but christ, we can't afford it.

I watched the Kings Dock video earlier on Youtube, i nearly cried at what could of been.

Not sure who is telling the truth over the Blue Union transcript. Clearly there was no point them having a meeting if they couldn't tell the fans what had been said. It was fascinating stuff and EFC fans everywhere were demanding to hear from Kenwright. So now we know the truth, whether he knew they were taping it remains to be seen. I just hope the publicity brings a buyer to the table.

The sooner we can get Yobo and the Yak of the books the better

You also look at Arteta and how big his contract is and think would it be a good idea to sell if there where intrested clubs as we have plenty of midfielders

I love how everyone is still referring to it as a 'taped' conversation. I keep getting images of them trying to hide an Goodmans tape deck under their shirt...and drop boxes, cold war style...

I don't remember the 80's, I can't see us winning anything again at this rate. After that interview. I honestly feel me and you could run the club better.

Are the players wages available to the public?

how much would Yak, Yobo and Arteta knock off the wage bill per year.

If they are on £40k a year, then thats £6.24m a year between the 3 of them.

Based on that, we'd be making the tiniest of profits, but not spending £5m more than we have...

That extra £1.2m could go towards a tent near the park end, or a slide.

Or, as is likely, the banks... Wednesday's match with Sheff Utd is a right banana skin - if by Saturday night we haven't a win to our name . . . . then it will all kick off. And by next May we will have finished seventh. We are Everton, and that's our way.

Seems like we've identified that we are paying more than we can afford for players.

The whole business needs a good look at from an external source. Show some home truths on the shortcomings of the board.
