Why does our society support politicians that allow public servants to be victims?

I don't get it.

When Headteachers come out and say they can't cope...nobody listens.
When nurses/doctors come out and say they can't cope...nobody listens.
When firefighters/police offices come out and say they can't cope...nobody listens.

What is wrong with out society?

I get what you say, I really do, but all those above also get really long holidays and gold-plated pensions so........
