Why do they always have to be MASSIVE reds ?

Have you ever noticed how a Liverpool fan, always describes themselves in conversation as a 'massive' red? Like for them its not good enough to be seen to be an ordinary red or even a bigger than average one, they always have to be massive.

What even qualifies as a massive supporter of a football club anyway? Do you have to be a season ticket holder? Go to every game home and away? Never miss a game for 30 odd years even when you mum's funeral was going on?....given that a lot of these 'massive' reds actually support their team mainly from the TV in the front room then the bar must be set really low so does that make and actual bonafide season-ticket holder a super-dooper-mega red then ?
