Why do Evertonians expect success?

Then we have a different opinion on the matter and you're still handsome and I have a planet sized head.

Yes it's took the piss and he knows it.

But do you not think it has a baring?

I mean he maintained he would look into in January, January came and went without any "movement" and then he says the end of the Season?

The problem for young fans is they've only seen the Premiership a league that gets won by Utd (nominally the richest club in the country) or by those who join the rich club - Blackburn, Chelsea and City plus they've only seen EFC as a complete bag of shte.

Arsenal bucked the Utd money onslaught till Wenger went nutso which is a pity because that's how it's always been a monied elite troubled by some smartarse manager who makes a difference on 2 quid. Busby, Nicolson, Shankly, Clough, Kendal, Wilkinson even Ferguson with Aberdeen all produced champions out of thin air.

What has happened in my lifetime is Premiership status equates to winning trophies of old all the managers and players become millionaires simply by dint of having a Premiership contract, dropping a level via relegation or worse still losing your job as a manager is akin to losing your winning lottery ticket. The net effect is gambling to win against the odds has gone out the window, why risk injury to key players or bookings and red cards in games the financial stats say you ain't gonna win? This is why the EPL is slowly going the way of Spain and Scotland with 2 or maybe 3 teams seriously competing and the rest bending over.

That will never be good enough for fans of ANY ambitious club, check what's happening at Stoke they've stopped being a yo yo outfit so now the fans want more, Pulis is under pressure because they can see his footy isn't tropy winning footy it takes no imagination to see why Villa, RS, Spurs and Everton fans feel the same.

It's not entitlement it's historic ambition and the day we lose it we're dead.

Them ****s winning today just puts the icing on the cake. Even the ****test Liverpool side of my lifetime is now ahead of us. Nil Satis Nisi Optimum though

nice post

The way he's going about it. Playing the media and talking up his own ambition at our expense.

He's not finished the job here, a job he's been handsomely paid for and f*cked up this season alone with a talented group of players. He could just a man and state he's going to walk at the end of the season instead of all this limbo.

He's devaluing the manager's job at Everton through his actions.

Couldn't agree more with this.

Do you not think that something happened in January for him to change his stance?

Tha same thing that's been going on the whole time he's been here?

Which has never seemed to bother him before?

And certainly not when he's fawning over his chairman on the sky couch?

Or giving interviews telling the whole world how good his chairman is?

I can only assume that those who think that Moyes is the only man standing between us and relegation, must think that Walter Smith wasn't that bad. Like he was just a mere mortal stuck with a shoite club like Everton and like it's unfair to compare him to the genius that is David Moyes, because anyone would take us to the championship.
