Why do England always struggle to produce dribblers?

Futsal, its a pro sport all over Europe and South America.

Its getting bigger in UK now, but many traditional acadamies and grass roots managers dont like it at all, so lots of debate.

What history does any of the great dribblers have with futsal? That's crap with never was players hanging on. Academies do coach it out of players, but it's not like that is why England doesn't win the world cup.

By that logic why isn't messi wearing a shirt with that dumb lion, unicorn or whatever it is on it?
We never owned Argentina. That was Spain. Plus the dumb lion/unicorn thing isn't on England shirts, you're thinking of the royal crest. :coffee:

A confident Barkley could and did dribble past players for fun. He lacked the next step in finding an open outlet usually whether it be the attacking ball or a good ball into space. He was ace a dribbling into a cul du sac.

That boy is a talent. He will have to work his butt off to realize he can be more than the flash to beat the first guy before he dribbles into the dead end street.

It was a reference to the falkands... bad jokes are always worse when you have to explain them... thought it was a fairly easy connection to make

Got distracted from thinking about the Falklands by wondering if Gibraltar gave us any claim over the whole if Spain and its territories. Probably does to be fair.

New generation seem to be quiet good at dribbling. Sancho, nelson, lookman etc... they all have very quick feet and can beat a man.

We need more effort putting in at grass roots, kids leagues all over liverpool getting smaller, any wonder with the expense and lack of support for the clubs and leagues.
Its going to hit home soon, the last few times i have been along to have a look at games the standard has dropped alarmingly.

Is right.

There is now a national league for futsal in this country and a number of clubs with junior teams now enter kids into these leagues (can be short term 'seasons' in the summer for example) and competitions to help them develop different skills.
