Why do coaches have their initials sewn on all their shirts and jackets?

Player Valuation: £40m
Thought of this after seeing Koeman in his freshly embroidered RK training top. It amuses me endlessly, like the manager and the coaches and the backroom staff are all 3 years old and confuse each other's clothes. Why does everyone do it over there?

And what do they do with the kit of managers and coaches who have been
sacked?
If they bin it seems an expensive waste

Wouldn't you get confused over who owned what if you worked in close proximity with 100+ people who wore the same gear? And yeah, the washing.

Coz all the training kit gets washed at/by the club, easy bro sort out whose is whose kit.

I figured, but it does seem to be a very European thing. The managers in MLS don't often wear club apparel but when they do, it doesn't have their initials on it in block lettering.

These aren't finely tailored garments, does it really matter whose training shirt is whose as long as they're clean?

You are, I can see right through you mate !
