They had a very good side in the 80s and looks like they have come again and are all the same age. Last euros they had depth problems and also someone to put the ball in the net. with lukaku and bentke developing rapidly that could be a problem solved.

they have everything you want in a squad pace, power, strength, technical ability, genius grit determination.

potentially outstanding! they are in a tough world cup group and trying to topple experience and durability of croatia will be a stern test but if they get to the 2014 world cup they can use it for experience and compared to everyone else they can look to the future and win trophies as no-one else is emerging with thistalent pool.

They haven't exactly put a foot wrong yet have they? It's starting to fall into place for them.

Always thought Belgium should play a 3-5-2 rather than sticking CB's in the wing back positions..

Courtois
Vermalen Kompany Vertonghen
Fellaini Witsel
Mertens Dembele/De Bruyne Hazard
Benteke Lukaku

Definate dark horses for Brazil, provided they can work together as a team

Can see them possibly making the Quarter's or Semi's in Brazil and using that momentum to do more of the same at Euro 2016. Not sure whether they can expect more after that. This squad could be dominant in the same way France were in the late 90's/early00's

No real fullbacks and a mediocre coach will deprive us of glory

also Fellaini racking up poor performances for the NT wont help us either :(

I have raised the average coach argument before. Half of the problem is they aren't seeded high enough (yet) so likely to be disadvantaged in draws for at least the next 4 years.

I genuinely feel that the role of the coach in international football is highly highly overrated.
The role is one which requires not much more than picking the best tactics and set-up based on players available, and then coaxing the best performances out them for a sequence of up to 6 games.
Not meaning to trivialize it (obviously its necessary), but Belgium don't need big names acclaimed for tactical nous (like Advocaat before he ran off)-- just someone who has the respect of the team so as not to sow divisions when deciding who plays and who doesn't in such a talented team.
