They're right to try and mix it up as its gone stale and isn't a patch on American Dad, but this is a really poor decision as to how to go about it.

I think this is sabotage from MacFarlane who wants the show cancelled as he's lost his creative will with it.

Was never a massive fan of Brian, but he was an enabler of sorts. He was the perfect foil for the shows 2 funniest and biggest characters in Peter and Stewie; you look back on the funniest moments of the show, the stories and the episodes and they're always invariably Stewie or Peter centric with both characters bouncing off Brian.

Have to say it's disappointing if he's actually gone for good. Interested to see the direction of Stewie and Peter now.
