Why aren't English clubs after American talent?

Player Valuation: £10m
Currently, all the Bundesliga clubs are rading all the MLS clubs for American talent. Great players are coming through the German clubs such as Hoppe, Reyna, Adams, Sargent and clubs like Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg all signed new American players from the MLS this transfer window. Recently, Schalke sold Mckennie to Juventus, and he is one of their best midfielders this season. RB Salzburg and Barcelona have all signed Americans recently as well. Plus, now AS Roma are likely to sign Bryan Richards from FC Dallas. So this had me thinking. What are the English clubs playing at? Surely, as England and America share the same first language, it'd be far easier to draw these Americans to England, rather than Germany or Italy.

Currently, in the year 2021 I'd say USA is producing more football talent than Brazil and it's not a stretch to say this. I am aware that Antonee Robinson plays for Fulham, but he is somebody who grew up in England and came through the academies in England, so it doesn't really count.

Calling people like Sargent 'great players' is a bit of a stretch, as a striker he's got 7 goals in 54 Bundesliga appearances... 3 in 18 this season. I don't really understand where his hype comes from, he looks like a typical 'he's got good work rate' striker.

Reyna, Pulisic & Mckennie are the standout ones, the other ones listed still haven't done enough to be in the conversation for players who should be in the premier league.

I really rate Adams but his ability to play fullback and Nagelsmann being a bit weird has hurt is development as a true ball winning central midfield imo. I still think he's got the talent to dominate games though.

Could also be that English teams have so much money, and the financial gap between the PL and Championship is so vast, that they’d rather go out and buy finished products unless they’re absolute world-class prospects. The American prospects are very good, probably the best class we’ve ever produced, but they aren’t quite at that level.

I’m just glad the “we need all our prospects to play in MLS!” fever has broken. What a disaster that policy was.

It's not about having done enough to be in the Premier League. Pulisic, Hoppe, Reyna, Mckennie all started out playing in Europe as unknowns from America and they gradually built their way through the academy system of the German clubs. These clubs are essentially nurturing these American talents fresh from MLS. Barcelona are doing the same to Konrad de la Fuente.

English clubs want American talent but they're not buying them at the wrong time. Chelsea got Pulisic for over 50m and no doubt, there will be loads of English clubs after Reyna, Hoppe, Adams in few years time for an extortionate fee.

Youre talking about these players being better than the Brazilians???
