The board is to blame for the appalling transfer window, forcing Koeman to go into the season with huge gaps all over the squad, forced to play woefully out-of-form players such as Jagielka and Barkley as we have no real replacements for them and having absolutely no backup to Lukaku at all and two Championship-standard goalkeepers.

The board, 100%.

The whole club needs to change.

For well over a decade now, the manager's sole remit has been to do enough with as little as possible to make sure that the fans don't shout at Kenwright. That's it.

There are no standards for the players to be held to, and no consequences for even the most shameful of performances. Those things cost money.

I had hoped that the days of always taking the cheap and easy option were behind us when Moshiri took over, but with Kenwright and Elstone still at large I am increasingly doubtful. The ultimate fear is that he's only here as a result of Philips Green's legal issues.

Why would Green's legal issues be a reason for Moshiri being here?

Because after years of him proxy sharing through Earl, effectively protecting Kenwright from another Gregg scenario, Green's cut was suddenly shifted just when his affairs were about to come under serious scrutiny.

Could be that Moshiri was simply in the right place at the right time when Green/Earl finally had to move on, but at the moment I find it all a bit suspicious.

That sounds like cause for concern.

Players are awful.

I think for the next game we need to see Holgate, Barkley, Lennon and Valencia start. Davies to come on from the bench at least.
