Zac Brown Band, Wembley arena 6 years ago, fantastic set, awesome musicians and Zacs velvet voice, superb gig.

Kula Shaker in ‘99. My last gig before going backpacking and ending up in Australia. They were awesome.

Saw Morcheeba in Melbourne earlier this year and they were surprisingly great live, had a four piece band.

I saw Charli xcx tonight and it might be the most fun I've ever had at a gig, she is untouchable. It's like a warehouse party to 20k people, all on her own

Other than that, my bloody valentine, Slowdive and Swans. DIIV for newer stuff. Julia holter too

The Prodigy at MK Bowl in 2010 is absolutely unmatched.

I've seen most of the big acts over the past 30+ years but nothing has come close to Genesis at Roundhay Park, Leeds back in 1987. They were flawless and on another level.

Pink Floyd at Earls Court in 94 was memorable.. I'd given up smoking about 2 weeks before and had to endure 50% of the crowd smoking pot. Managed to pass the test and still haven't smoked since.

David Bowie at Murrayfield, Edinburgh, in June 1983. 60,000 crowd.

Countless bands, some multiple times. It’s hard to choose but I’d go with Iron Maiden just for the all round experience with the stage show and dramatics etc.

For musicianship and endurance it’s Springsteen.

Elbow were great when i saw them about 15 yrs ago, editors were very good when i saw them 3 yrs ago... KT Tunstall and The Cure at Glastonbury were fantastic!!

There was a band from the 90s called Gene, i came out of their gig soaking wet through the sweat, it was mental!! The crowd, the tunes, it had everything... sure they're not everyones cup of tea, but that was the epitome of a great gig for me.

As a youngster it had to Thin Lizzy in ‘79 at the Empire.

But Kate Bush in 2014 was flawless!

….i was fortunate to see Bob Dylan on a ‘going day’ but I think the best live performance I’ve seen has to Springsteen with E-Street Band at NEC in Birmingham in about 1977. Long time ago, I’ve seen him since but he was at his best that night.

David Baker era Mercury Rev. Not as good when they became Jonathan & Grashopper plus a backing band. Although I did see them once backed by The Band, as in Levon Helm & Co, and it was very good.

The Spiritualized line up of Jason, Mark Refoy, Will Carruthers, Kate Radley and Jonny Mattock.
