6 consecutive semi-finals. This for me this is the best club side to ever to play in the Champions League modern format. I think there already one of the greatest teams ever.

I think Bayern will win it this year. For me German football is massively under-rated in this country.

Strangely Barca look pretty weak at the moment (relatively speaking). None of those chosen to play alongside Messi up front has really done much this year, and the suspicion still lingers that they lack any more of a plan B than they did a few years ago. The signing of Ibrahimovic was designed to provide them with that more physical presence up front, but it didn't work, so their one and only plan is to play through teams. It's still pretty effective against most teams, but Bayern have a decent defence and have the ability to strike on the counter attack.

The midfield is still very strong, but they look very vulnerable in the middle of defence. Pique seems some way short of top form, and they're having to shoe horn players in to play alongside him due to injuries.

For me this would have made a good final as they seem the best two sides left in the competition. You'd imagine Real will beat Dortmund to make the final, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them face Bayern in it.

I can see Bayern beating Barça. A result that could have psychological repercussions at international levels if there is (as many expect) a Germany - Spain face off at the WC.

Barcelona have limped past Milan and PSG in the last two rounds. They look nowhere near the formidable outfit they were in previous seasons. I'd make Bayern big favourites for this tie. I dont see any obvious weakness. The midfield is more than a match for Barcelona and their back four are superb. The only problem Heynckes has is Mandzukic suspended, but he has Gomez to slot back in or Pizarro.

Real to win the tournament though, imo.

They should see Dortmund off, even though they lost and drew to them in the group stages. Dortmund dont look the team they were late last year in the CL. If Madrid play Bayern in the SF they'll get a good game, but I'd take them to get revenge for last season and edge them out - Mourinho usually learns his lesson in defeat well. If they face Barca, Madrid have beaten them three times this season and seem to have their number now. It's all very close though.

I'm tempted to commodiously agree with you but the Royalists have looked impressive in the knockout stages so far. Which might all count for nothing though. It would be a great final anyways.
