Who's for the chop?

You're welcome. I was actually trying to donate enough to make it an even 500, but the silly dollar to pound conversion stumped me (Doh!) hence it came up a few pounds short of 500. Sorry about that.
It's the thought that counts and luckily we've had another £10 come in from an anonymous donation that's pushed it over the £500 mark.

Absolutely gobsmacked by the support this has had. We never thought we'd get to £300 nevermind getting past it.

A huge thank you yet again to everyone that has donated. It really is for a very good cause and Jacob's parents will be over the moon when the final amount reaches their charity.

So the haircut has been done and we have 12 inches of hair ready to be sent to The Princess Trust to be made in to wigs and we raised a total of £770 for the Jacob's Join charity.
Pyper loves her new haircut and she says a huge thank you to everyone that donated.

Congratulations on raising such an outstanding total, looking good Pyper, well done

My 7 year old daughter has decided that after having long hair all her life she wants to cut it short and donate about 10 inches of hair to a charity called The Princess Trust which makes wigs for children undergoing cancer treatment. She'll be having her hair cut in July and between now and then we're trying to raise as much money as we can to go to another charity that is very close to our hearts. Jacob was the son of one of our friends who lost his life about 18 months ago after a long battle with cancer. His parents set up the Jacob's Join charity to raise money and awareness for Rhabdomyosarcoma.
We're not looking to raise a fortune, just enough to make a small difference to a very worthwhile cause so if you can donate even just a small amount it would be very much appreciated. If everyone that has read this ar donates just one pound we'd soon smash our target.

Chipped in ... I’ve got no hair of my own to chop

I've just done a tally up and it looks like GOT members have donated a minimum of £388 plus gift aid and we've had some anonymous donations that could have been some of you as well. I honestly can't believe the generosity and support we've received from this site. Pyper has gone in to school this morning with her new haircut more excited than I've ever seen her before and her Mum is off to the post office to post the hair to The Princess Trust.
Jacob's parents have also sent us a few messages over the last couple of weeks as they've seen the totally going up way past our original target. They also send a huge thank you to every single person that has donated, the money raised will make a huge difference to any other children suffering with rhabdomyosarcoma and hopefully go towards saving a few lives.
