That's just the answer I expected, there wasn't one rude word in any comment , are you on the pull Frank ??, there's other sites out there just for that sort of thing , I'll DM you the name if ya want ;-)

I wasn't on the pull until now you silver tongued devil.

a) First of all your American ive been to Anfield more times than you've been to Goodison , so discussing Everton with you is impossible , b) 2nd of all who are these people who would like Everton to sign Robbie Keane please , please , please introduce me too them and c) last but not least The MLS is for has been's like Luke Roger's , the only people who would disagree would be American's

a) Thank you for insulting all the Americans on here who take the time (sometimes at 4:00am like me) to watch Everton, support Everton, spend money on Everton, and be fans. I have just as much a right to talk about the team as you, and have a pretty informed opinion since I'm not a casual fan (I'm here almost every day). This viewpoint you have is outdated and does not reflect the global league the EPL has become. You'll note how much this website has grown due to Americans who want to talk Everton.

b) Please go back and read the Landon Donovan thread. You'll see several posters talking about Keane. You can also google many articles talking about his form right now - which is good. You'll also note that he had offers to go on loan.

c) False. Please read The Guardian's coverage of MLS. And before you say "but that's the American editor," he's British. Second, more and more young talent from South America is moving to MLS. Third, growing number of MLS players are coming to/expected to come to Europe. You do realize there are other players than Luke Rodgers and David Beckham, right? Clint Dempsey, LD, Stuart Holden have already arrived. Geoff Cameron, Omar Gonzalez, Brek Shea, Juan Agudelo, Andy Najar, Tim Ream, Steve Zakuani, George John, and others - names you'll be hearing in the future.

Kay come on don't make me out to be some baddy please because I haven't insulted any American , I think it's great you support Everton FYI and the more and more like you I welcome that's part of growing your fan base ,what I was referring too was IMO I know what Everton need in their team to improve more than someone watching hundreds of miles away on a lap top or computer because I go every single week , I've been to more than half the grounds in the football league numpteen times over , I also acknowledge you know a hell of a lot more than me about the MLS but either of us won't change each others view I suppose so we'll agree to disagree , it did make me laugh though on the radio earlier linking Frank Lampard with LA Galaxy too me that's the type of signing MLS teams make, players coming to the end of there career's obviously listening to you Iam miles away and the MLS is right up there with the premier league for quality , I have a lot too learn then ...... Sorry if I offended you it wasn't the intention

That's fine - you clearly have more to see since you're there. But I have watched every single game as you have, so I think I know what the team needs too. Regardless of it being on TV, computer or live, I've watched. (Sometimes it's easier to tell what's going on from a TV perspective because I get replays and you don't.) What I miss is the atmosphere, hear you there. I'd love to get to Goodison one day.

I know we'll agree to disagree, but since you don't watch MLS, your opinion of it is old. Sure, Lampard might come over, but there are other DPs besides the European guys - they get the most press. And frankly, I have no problem with them coming over before they retire, they help the league get better and have something to give. And most of them (minus Rafael Marquez) aren't looking to have a vacation, and nearly all of them have been pleasantly surprised. If you don't think Henry wants to win games, watch his play this year. Same with Beckham. We will continue to have these players until the league gets good enough to come away from that, and more importantly, can pay way more - might not be for awhile.

I never said MLS was premier league in quality. That's ridiculous. I said Championship Level. People who say the play is "easy," "very poor" etc need a reality check.

In all honestly, if LA played Everton tomorrow with the squad they ended the season with, and Everton with the squad we fielded yesterday? I think LA would win.

I encourage you to check some games out - CONCACAF Champions League should be great in Feb, some great match-ups between MLS and Mexico.

There is no way I'd disagree with you on the point of LA beating Everton Kay , I wouldn't back Everton at the moment to beat anyone that includes championship sides , but Everton as we know don't have a lot of money to spend and I've yet to see a player in the MLS that would be worth the gamble and every penny we spend is a gamble , if you could hit me with some names I could look out for , names that we have a chance of signing then maybe I'll change my view , I watch a few games on ESPN here , near the end of the season I got too see a fair few and nothing really stood out too me , when you said the league is on the same Level as the Championship you've sort of proved my point TBH because there aren't many players if any that I would be willing to spend money on, Tim Cahill's are every 20 year signings , 1.75 m from Milwall I think he cost , you won't see a better signing from the Championship ever again and if Everton want to improve we need even better than Tim Cahill now or it will be another era of mid table football we go , I think we need to be looking at Barcelona 3rd team and Real Madrid reserves and so on, big Champion's League clubs players who've fell out of favour , even someone like Jermaine Defo dare I say it

The teams I encourage you to watch are the ones that I would pick to be at the top of the Championship, not just the average:

LA, Real Salt Lake, Seattle, and even NY if they could get their internal act together. FC Dallas is playing better footy these days too. These teams tend to not play hoofball and keep the ball on the ground. Real Salt Lake went to the CCL finals at the beginning of the year. Seattle was one of the first teams to beat a Mexican team in Mexico. FC Dallas was the first team. LA had the best league record, won their CCL group, and is the Cup winner. Seattle and LA also are still in CCL play right now and made it out of the group stage. Other MLS fans could point out some other teams too, but as an LA fan, these are some of the teams that stuck out to me - teams that not only have good offense, but defense too. (aka, don't leak goals like a sieve) The Union (a team we played against in the pre-season) also have some decent creative youngsters.

As for players, since you want ones that are not "old", there are several that are up and comers that are expected to potentially feature, or have featured, for the US National Team:

Brek Shea (LW, FCD) - expected Europe bound within a couple of years. Training with Arsenal, and a member of the senior national team at age 21.
Tim Ream (CB, NY) - Early 20s, had a rough second season but continues to attract interest from EPL sides including West Brom (where he is currently on trial), Bolton and Arsenal (who tried to buy him last year).
Omar Gonzalez (CB, LA) - 23, Defender of the Year, expected Europe bound soon.
George John (CB, FCD) - Blackburn tried to acquire him this year, expected to be gone during the summer to Europe.
Andy Najar (midfielder, DCU) - 18, already training with top sides for the last two years (Honduran national)
Chris Pontius (FW/LW, DCU) - the guy who had a field day against us in pre-season play
Luis Gil (CM, Philly) - I think 16, looks to have huge creative talent in the middle of the park
Juan Agudelo (FW, NY) - 18, already featured for the senior national team
Teal Bunbury (FW, SKC) - 21, training in Europe
CJ Sapong (FW, SKC) - 22, Rookie of the Year
Bill Hamid (GK, DCU), Sean Johnson (GK, Chicago) - 20, 21, expected to be at Olympics, trained with Howard
Zach Loyd (RB, FCD) - on Jurgen's depth chart for national team, early 20s
Geoff Cameron (CB, Houston) - really came into being this year when permanently moved to CB

I'm sure there are more that other fans can give you, but those are the ones off the top of my head that have national team buzz. There are others (Darlington Nagbe, Perry Kitchen, etc) that are even more raw, but the ones above for the most part are already somewhat known entities (and thus, a little less risk). I'm sure I'm missing folks too. Note that I wouldn't say some of these guys could start for the team tomorrow, but they are worth scouting and some of them I think would be better than those out of favor players you mention, who have their own risk. These guys will work tremendously hard.
