EFC NY

Player Valuation: £2.5m
No one in the league took more points off of United and City than we did (excluding United and City themselves).

Everton, Chelsea, Sunderland, Newcastle - 5 points
RS, Stoke - 4 points
Arsenal, Swansea, Blackburn, Wigan - 3 points
Fulham, WBA - 2 points
Tottenham, Norwich, Villa, QPR, Bolton, Wolves - 0 points

For whatever this is worth. Tottenham screams out to me as the team that is most misplaced. Getting doubled by both United and City hurt them.

Agreed. 19 teams had a chance to take 12 points off of them, and no one was even able to get 50% of that.

18, but yeah.

And that is why the German league is the most entertaining in Europe.

Yes, 18.

Bundesliga (sp?) is the one league we don't ever see on tv in the states, so I can't get into it. Not that I watch any Italian, Spanish or French stuff, mind you, but I would probably watch some German footy if I could.

In the german league, the top two this year was the same as the top two last year. It's all very well complaining that City were untouchable but this is their first title in 40 odd years.

French leagues where the fun's at now the Lyon monopoly has collapsed.

Ah but there were another 2 or 3 teams within touching distance up until the last couple of months, and Dortmund have won their titles without spending stupid money, and instead doing it 'the right way' (hate that term, but still).

Every team has a chance in Germany, but here, I can't say the same. Newcastle finishing in fifth has caused a storm ffs. Fifth!

EDIT: To add to that, the other two CL places in Germany were taken by Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach. The former finished 14th out of 18 last year, and the latter finished 16th, having to win a relegation play off to stay in the league.

To be honest I thought united were very ordinary this season and even struggled at times with a very poor midfield at moments.... for them to finish runners up just shows how far ahead they and cityu are from the chasing pack.....or in other words how poor the rest of the league actually are.

6th in the league could well win the Big Cup, lad. Not that poor.

but can you say that either manc club were outstanding this year ?? thats my point.. in the past united have breezed past teams but this season they were really off the boil and city only shone on occasions on be fair..

NEVER MIND FFS

Still not as bad as Spain though, I guess.

30 points separated 2nd and 3rd in La Liga. For context, 24 points separated 3rd and 19th.
