Jags Distin for me, Heitinga is great for bringing the ball out, but he has a tendency to lose his man; i.e Hernandez at Goodison last year.

It's a tough one. I'd always go with Heitinga/Distin but I doubt we'd be any worse off with Jags/Distin.

Just seems odd to bench your player of the year. Although with the Fenerbahce nonsense maybe someone's fell out with someone.

Distin and Heitinga looked solid last season so went for that.

How long before people reckon Distin starts to decline as a footballer? Read a few posts at the back end of last season that said he didn't look as solid but I saw no noticeable difference like(excluding the Liverpool lapse). Hoping for another good season from the big fella.

Anyone who doesn't pick Distin clearly isn't a fan of using logical thought processes.

For the 48283rd time, with Jags/Heitinga we have no height or pace at CB, and two right footers. It's not complimentary.

Distin is tall, fast and left footed. Also he's a fine defender in his own right and he's made out of steel and could probably ease a charging rhinoceros off the ball.
