Siggy will play off the left.
His set pieces will be just as good playing on the left, anything more in terms of goals/assists is a bonus. I Just really can't see Rooney being moved wide...they've just done a thing on Sky about how poor Sigurdsson's record was at Spurs playing off the left side. I know some say he played there for Swansea last season but apparently he virtually played off the striker (according to the stats they showed).
I just hope we if pay £45m for a player, he has to play in his best position. His best position is no10. Rooney will produce playing on the right.

Also, if Siggy was to be in the 10 position for us I can't see that happening until mid season, we are just getting to grips intergrating all these players as it is without plonking a brand new MF at the heart of everything who knows nothing of his teammates and vice verca, atleaset Rooney has has all pre season to create an understanding....his set pieces are good but his assists and goals record playing inside are amongst the best in the league. Not sure why we wouldn't want to exploit that.
I'm a huge Rooney fan and you might be right, I just hope the Manager hasn't backed himself in a corner about playing him no10. The best and most effective no10 in the squad is Sigurdsson so play him there.
