Well one of the greatest English players of all time. Tom Finney wouldn't qualify under those terms, yet he is an icon to every PNE fan who saw him and to plenty of other fans all around the country.

I was sorta meaning specifically Everton players.

An Everton icon will generally have far more honours that a Preston* player.




*I knew Finney's family as some were scousers and they were lovely.

Yes l met Tom Finney at the 1966 FA Cup semi final, got talking to him, a nice little chat and it led to me getting a ticket
for the 1966 FA Cup final. Well I only knew Tom but he was a pure gent.
