Jack Butland cost £3.5M as a teenager, on the same day he moved to Stoke City you singed John Stones for What was believed at the time to be £3M, this place was in uproar with moaning b'astards, if you do manage to find the next Hart/Butland you'll still not be happy,

Using hindsight to make a ridiculous point. No one was unhappy with the signing of John Stones. We've always supported taking punts on young talent. What the uproar was about was yet another failure by the board to adequately back the manager in a transfer window. Had Butland been brought in I would have been pleased. Wouldn't have got away from the fact that the board did not deliver the first team players we needed st the time. I really don't know what point you're trying to make? Most of our fans would just about take any keeper regardless of price over Howard. If you don't like hearing us moaning about him, why do you read the forum? He's not your keeper (is yours any good? I'd have him over Howard) so why uptight about it?

That's totally within our level though, and that's without any investment for 20 years, and that's were you have your answer. We can do so much better, and we know we can.

It's not though is it, apart from Rom who in your squad cost more then 10 million ? You bring 3/4 players in per transfer window because that's all you can afford and look at where you are and how you are playing, if you're not happy with your team the way they are performing with the clear restraints they are under you're a idiot

It's like I'm reading Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal, forum. You're Everton a club that's won absolutely nothing for years, not had any major investment since you turned Goodison into a all seater, and some of you lot on here are moaning like old women. I've been watching Everton with a keen interest for a couple of years now, and to me you're ether exactly what should be expected with the investment in the club or a little bit better.

Yesterday your lads rocked up at a established top four side that had just turned over one of Europes elite clubs and gave them a good game and frightened them to death for last 10 minutes, there was nothing wrong with the style of play tactics or effort you're just not in a position as a club to attract the very best players needed to turn over the best sides, but the players you have got are giving you their all every week, what more could you ask for ?.

You're at a level now where the only way you're going to improve and step up a level is to add quality players that demand 80 to 100 grand a week and it's just never going to happen without major investment or going down the Leeds United sh,it or bust route, stop moaning and be thankful of what you have.

Sorry for wanting us to win stuff and have ambition pal.

Actually no I'm not. Who do I think we are? I think we're Everton, with our 9 titles, 5 FA Cups and 1 European trophy to our name. What's your honours list like?
