Who are these people that switch their votes between parties?

Thing is, there is world of difference between the Tory stereotype that would be, in general, be in the thoughts of many on here. "Kick the working class" "Tory scum", etc etc, and someone who has voted Conservative at times, (Me). Usually in despair at the absolute idiocy/hypocrisy/spinning machine of the viable alternative.

(Takes cover as well)

For the record, I am not a scouser. Wirral lad. If that makes a difference.

I'm from the Wirral West constituency, a "key marginal" as they call it and it wasn't tory until 2010 so it could quite easily swing back to Labour in 2015.

I don't condone some of Esther McVey's ideas (like reducing min wage to 2.95 or something ridiculous!) but the alternative is just more lies and we know it. Plus she did my Dad's mate a MASSIVE favour recently, saving him from ruin (but that's something else entirely)

Sometimes I really don't blame some people getting splinters in their bum sitting on the fence - what are we to do, eh?....

One thing that annoys me more than the terrible trio (if you can even count Lie-b dems as part of the trio) is this UAF group which seems to comprise of "right on" students who don't know their ass from their elbow!

I've swung my vote a few times, bit I think whether you swing your vote or not will to a large extent be dependent on where you live in the country. Being a Welsh lad living in South Wales, it's been cringeworthy to see what mess Tony Blaire made of the country with his National Assembly nonsense.

The difficulty has been finding an alternative to vote for, I've swung to the lib dems a few times, but more as a protest vote rather than agreeing with any of their policies. The lesser of two evils.

Thought South Wirral was Brombrough, Bebbington, Heswall that sort of bit. I thought Neston was Ellesmere Port officially.

Now I am confused. I left the Wirral at 7. 41 years ago. When I pitched up down here, cos of my accent, everyone just called me the lad from Liverpool. I didnt know the difference ffs. Most old mates from school still call me the "robbing scouse git". Badge of honour really. So when folks ask me where I am from, as I still have a slight edge to my accent, I just say "Liverpool area, but born on the Wirral".

And why is it called The Wirral?

Neston is Cheshire West with Ellsmere Port apparently. Just pretend to be scouse and never tell anyone anything different. It'll be our secret that you're a Port head.

**** me! That a real term? If so, that would be amazing, because when we came down here, we settled in Portishead!!
