It is indeed a waste,i cant help but feel she was born 20 years too late she would have been a huge star in the '60's with classic after classic instead she was a star no doubt but with forgettable songs in her cannon

But yes if you keep playing with fire it'll burn you in the end.

The people who (and there will be some) who stood by and watched the poor woman waste away because they didn't want to say no to the celebrity while they could still leech off her success need to take a long look at themselves. RIP.

Nothing new on that front. She was VERY attractive, one of the best singers of her generation, and a smart business woman. She shot it up the wall on possibly the worst man going. He'll be reaping the dividends now, you watch the next couple of days...

The music industry did that then, they do it now, and they will do it in the years to come.
